Architectural extension with a focus on accessibility

Architectural extension with a focus on accessibility

Arkigroup AB has produced architectural and technical documents for an extension to a villa in Linköping. The project focused on creating practical and sustainable solutions that meet the municipality's requirements, as well as accessibility adaptations for people with disabilities.

Careful design work and close dialogue with the client ensured an extension that harmonises with the existing building, both functionally and aesthetically.

Södra Lund B&B Hotell: a building of cultural and historical value

Södra Lund B&B Hotell: a building of cultural and historical value

This project involved producing architectural documents for Södra Lund B&B Hotell in Östergötland. The building is K-listed and classified as a property of cultural and historical value, which placed particular demands on care, precision and adaptation in the design.

Arkigroup AB was commissioned to rework and update all the architectural drawings as the basis for a planned conversion. The aim was to adapt the building to current accessibility requirements for people with disabilities and to ensure that the building meets current fire safety requirements.

The work began with a site visit and a careful measured survey of the existing conditions. The information gathered was then turned into professional, detailed drawings suited to the building permit application and further design work.

The project was characterised by close, constructive collaboration with the client, with dialogue and an understanding of both functional needs and the building's cultural heritage values at its core. The result was a thorough, high-quality set of documents ready to be presented to the municipality.

Producing architectural drawings for an extension, summer house in Borås

One of our clients contacted us through our website, Arkigroup AB, asking for help to produce a complete set of architectural drawings for an extension project on a summer house overlooking a canal in Borås.

The project involves developing functional and aesthetically pleasing solutions that harmonise with the existing building and its natural surroundings. The client wanted not only architectural drawings but also structural drawings and a complete solution including a cost proposal for carrying out the project.

We at Arkigroup AB took responsibility for analysing the project's conditions, producing building permit drawings in line with current Swedish building regulations and coordinating the technical documents. The focus was on creating a sustainable, efficient extension that makes the most of the view of the water while meeting every requirement for function, quality and design.

As part of the commission, the client also requested a complete quote for a design and build contract, from design through to completion and a turnkey result. With our experience in both architecture and construction management, we can offer a secure, efficient process in which the client has a single point of contact throughout the project's life cycle.

This project is a clear example of how we help our clients realise their visions, from idea and drawings to a finished, high-quality building.

Our team also carried out HVAC, plumbing and electrical installations to create a complete and functional solution.

Gamla Tanneforsvägen, Linköping

Gamla Tanneforsvägen, Linköping

Arkigroup has recently received an exciting commission as architects to transform an existing 1000 m² industrial building into a modern residential property with 10 flats. The aim of the project is to create an attractive and functional living environment that includes amenities such as laundry rooms and bicycle storage.

The plans will include shared laundry rooms where residents can wash and dry their clothes conveniently. We will also create bicycle stores to promote sustainable transport and encourage cycling as an environmentally friendly alternative.

We will work closely with our clients to ensure that their vision and needs are realised in the design of the flats. We will take account of key aspects such as accessibility, energy efficiency and aesthetics to create a residential environment that meets high standards and that residents enjoy living in.

This architectural commission gives us the opportunity to transform an existing building and create an attractive residential environment. We look forward to taking on the challenges this project presents and creating a modern, functional property that will become a home for future residents.

The new storey contains three bedrooms, a bathroom and living areas with plenty of room for relaxed socialising and everyday life. On the ground floor, Arkigroup has also designed a larger kitchen, replacing one of the original bedrooms to make room for it.

Arkigroup has also provided visualisations of the finished storey, so the client can get a clear picture of how it will look once complete. These visualisations have been an important tool in helping the client make their decision and ensure that every detail is as they want it.

The company successfully prepared building permit documents and drawings designed specifically for building a single-storey house. Our aim is to meet the client's wishes, and we can tailor the graphics entirely to that need.

In this case we have created a home with plenty of storage space, pleasant living areas and a spacious kitchen next to a covered garden room. The garden room has large glazed partitions that give a superb view of the garden.

We provided detailed construction drawings for the house, including floor plans, partition walls and elevations. We can also produce electrical and HVAC drawings to ensure that all installations meet your needs and comply with current rules and regulations.

Arkigroup has carefully prepared the drawings to show the proposed conversion and the changes to be made to the dental centre. The drawings include details of the new layout, including the location of treatment rooms, the reception area, waiting room, staff areas and other functional areas. Builders' merchant in Tornby, Linköping

The project has been a successful collaboration between Arkigroup and Nordströms, with our team working hard to meet the client's needs and expectations.

By providing precise architectural drawings, we have ensured that the industrial hall is designed in the best possible way to meet the company's specific requirements.

To give Nordströms a clear picture of the finished result, we also created realistic visualisations of the industrial hall. These visualisations helped the company understand and approve the design before construction began.

We are proud to have had the opportunity to work with Nordströms and contribute to their successful project. By delivering high-quality architectural drawings and visualisations, we have helped realise their vision for the industrial hall.

Two-storey house in Uppsala

The project began with thorough surveys and analyses of the existing conditions on site. The architect worked closely with the client to understand their wishes and needs. A combination of creative design and technical expertise then produced the construction documents and structural drawings.

The architect took account of both the building's sustainability and its visual appeal. Choice of materials and energy-efficient solutions were considered to minimise environmental impact and optimise energy consumption. Careful planning and meticulously prepared construction documents then eased the construction process and ensured the project ran smoothly.

Single-storey house in Kärna

We were commissioned to design a single-storey house of 130 square metres. The drawings were developed according to the client's wishes, while we contributed our own input to achieve an optimal floor plan.

We began by listening carefully to the client's requirements and wishes for their dream home. By understanding their needs and lifestyle, we were able to create a floor plan that suited them perfectly.

We also included the client's wishes for specific rooms, such as a home office and a separate utility room. These rooms were strategically placed to provide privacy and functionality.

Beyond the interior layout, we also paid attention to the design of the exterior. We took account of the client's preferences and architectural style and created a beautiful facade that fits in with its surroundings.

Precision in every corner: Arkigroup and Vasaparken Fastighets AB at the forefront of modern technology

On behalf of Vasaparken Fastighets AB, Arkigroup recently carried out an advanced 3D scan and verification survey of a substantial property at the junction of Platensgatan/Ågatan, formerly known as Platå. The project is a shining example of how modern technology can transform the process of surveying properties, particularly in buildings with complex, asymmetrical spatial layouts.

Thanks to the advanced 3D scanning technology, we were able to measure every detail of the large premises quickly and accurately. Work that would traditionally demand considerable time, effort and resources became ‘a piece of cake’ thanks to the technology, and was carried out with millimetre precision.

Modern Living and Commercial Premises in the Heart of the Town, Rättvik

This is a postmodernist building from 1990 that still works excellently today, with 16 high-quality flats and practical commercial space including a business centre, shops and a restaurant. It is located right in the town centre: perfect for residents and business owners alike.

The project is an excellent example of our ‘from grain to loaf’ concept, where we handle the entire process from start to finish. We began with a concept sketch, continued with the detailed development plan and building permit, followed by building drawings, and were involved throughout construction until the building was completed and opened. The result is housing defined by both functionality and modern design.

In addition, we closely followed local building regulations to ensure that all conversion work meets current requirements and standards. This careful preparation ensures that the end result is not only functional and safe but also welcoming and inspiring for everyone who uses it.

A wood-burning stove was placed fairly centrally so the fire can be enjoyed from the living room, kitchen and extension alike.
